The sacrament of confirmation imprints a character by which the baptized continue on their road of Christian initiation. The baptized are enriched with the gift of the Holy Spirit, and become more closely linked to the Church. Confirmation strengthens the baptized, and more strictly obliges them to become witnesses to Christ in words and in deeds, as well as to spread and defend the faith. To receive confirmation, you must first have been baptized.
Who chooses the godparents for the confirmation?
