What’s good for the family is crucial for the future of the world and the Church.

This hard-hitting phrase by Pope Francis in his apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia explains why the Church is particularly interested on the reality of families today, and wishes to accompany them on their journeys.

The holding of two Synod assemblies on the theme of the family in 2014 and 2015, and the publication of Amoris Laetitia have given new momentum to family ministry in the universal Church.

This mommentum gives new life to the pastoral initiative for life and the family, launched by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2012.

The Diocesan Table on Family Ministry, presided by Mr. René Laprise, permanent deacon, offers a place of reflection and action on this subject.
